Employee (staff) login
Staff can sign in to ScanToServe using a 3-digit employee code instead of email and password. This is for waiters, kitchen staff, and other employees who need quick access to orders and day-to-day tasks.
How it works
- Open the Employee login page (often linked from the main sign-in page or a direct URL such as
/employee-login). - Enter your 3-digit PIN/code assigned by your manager or owner.
- Submit to sign in.
- You will be taken to the staff area (e.g. Create Order or order management).
Who gets a code?
- The restaurant owner or admin creates staff and assigns roles in Employee Management (admin only).
- Each employee receives a 3-digit code (or similar) to use for login.
- Staff do not need an email/password for this login method.
What staff can do after login
- Create orders for customers (Create Order screen).
- View and update order status (e.g. preparing, ready, delivered).
- Use Kitchen display or Fullscreen orders if enabled.
- Respond to Assistant required (SOS) requests.
- Use Quick Rewards to look up or apply customer points (if permitted).
- Print receipts when allowed.
Staff typically cannot access owner-only areas such as Analytics, Settings, Add Menu, or Employee Management unless they have a higher role.
Forgot or lost code?
- Contact your manager or restaurant owner to get your code again or have it reset.
- Owners can manage staff and codes under Admin → Employee Management.
